This week, Poker Central announced that it is expanding its signature high-stakes poker tournament to include the Aussies.
The new tournament is the Super High Roller Bowl Australia. And it will be a part of the first-ever Australian Poker Open, all scheduled to take place at the Star Gold Coast in Broadbeach, Queensland. Action will begin on January 25, 2020, and it will wrap on February 4.
For those who cannot make the trip to Queensland, Poker Central will offer livestreams of the action on its PokerGO subscription service.
It is also noted that the World Poker Tour (WPT) is partnering with Poker Central to cohost the series and Super High Roller Bowl. The WPT just hosted its first festival of tournaments at the Star Gold Coast in September and into October. The WPT Main Event delivered a A$1.48 million prize pool and hailed the series as a success.

Convenience for Aussie Millions Players
Each January, the Aussie Millions takes place at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Formally known as the Crown Australian Poker Championship, the series was founded in 1998 and has grown into one of the most highly-anticipated poker tournament series in the world.
The 2020 Aussie Millions is set to begin on January 4 and wrap with the Main Event final table on January 24. There will be 23 total tournaments with millions in prize money to be awarded.
The ending of this series times perfectly – and likely not coincidentally – with the start of the Australian Poker Open in Queensland. A short flight from Melbourne will bring the high-stakes players directly to the series of high roller tournaments set up by Poker Central.
Also, it’s important to note that the 2020 Aussie Millions is likely to be more well-attended than in some years past, as players who would have attended the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in early January may instead head to Melbourne. For the first time in more than a dozen years, there will be no PCA in the Bahamas in 2020.
